A recent incident where a friend gave out her address to a potential client resulted in an uneasy feeling when the client arrived. The client asked several questions that raised huge red flags, making my friend feel as though her family and livestock were in danger. In order to ensure the safety of her loved ones, she took necessary precautions.
It is a sad truth that we can never be sure about the intentions of people who contact us online. When someone has access to our address, there is a possibility that they might come to our home unannounced, and even when we are not present. Therefore, to prioritize the safety of our family and animals, we require all potential clients to provide proof of identity before we share our address.
